Frequently Asked Questions
What services do you offer?
Copper Sun Nutrition offers personalized nutrition consultations that focus on whole-body wellness, weight management, hormone and gut balance, and sustainable lifestyle changes.
I take a root-cause approach using nutrition, labs, and habits to help you feel your best, without extremes or quick fixes.
How do I book a session?
To get started, please fill out the “Get in Touch” form on my website. This allows me to learn a bit more about you and ensure we’re the right fit.
I will personally review your request and get back to you within 48 business hours with next steps, including scheduling options and any questions you may have.
Do you take insurance?
Copper Sun Nutrition operates as a private-pay practice and is currently in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) plans.
If you have BCBS, coverage will vary depending on your specific plan. I recommend verifying your nutrition benefits prior to your visit, and I’m happy to help guide you through that process if needed.
For all other insurance providers, services are offered as private pay. Upon request, I can provide a superbill that you may submit to your insurance company for potential out-of-network reimbursement.
What’s the difference between Copper Sun and Fay Nutrition?
Copper Sun Nutrition is my private practice where I see clients directly and offer personalized nutrition and wellness services.
Fay Nutrition is a partner platform that helps dietitians provide insurance-covered sessions.
You’ll still be working with me, but Fay handles the insurance side (scheduling, billing, and verification).
Clients booking through Copper Sun pay directly and can choose from flexible packages and meal planning options.
What states do you serve?
I currently serve clients located in Arizona, California, Colorado, Michigan, New Jersey, Virginia, Louisiana, Illinois, and Hawaii.
Can I work with you if I live in another state?
If your state requires a dietitian license for medical nutrition therapy, I can only work with you in a nutrition coaching capacity, focusing on wellness habits, general health, and lifestyle balance (not disease-specific care).
If your state has open practice laws, we can work together fully via telehealth.
If you’re unsure, I’m happy to confirm whether we can meet based on your location.
What’s your cancellation or reschedule policy?
I ask for at least 24 hours’ notice to reschedule or cancel your appointment.
Late cancellations or no-shows may be subject to a session fee.
If you book through Fay, please refer to their cancellation policy directly.
